Mr. Hicks is Senior Patent Counsel to the firm, and is involved in all aspects of patent law, including patent counseling and portfolio management.
Jarrod’s technical experiences range throughout the electrical, software, mechanical, and chemical arts, with a focus in the fields of hardware, data storage, networking, cloud computing, neural networks, data security, chemicals, aerogels, nanostructures, etc.
Before joining JIPL, Jarrod served as Director of IP at Intellectual Property Ontario, where he managed a team of patent professionals to support clients in choosing and accessing IP-related services from selected IP service providers.
